Deerhurst Resort is a family-friendly retreat situated on the shoreline of Peninsula Lake. The sandy beach is perfect for spending a lazy day making sand castles, or playing in the inflatable splash zone.

For rainy days, the resort has an indoor pool, a rock climbing wall, an indoor treehouse, and game zone. Up to two children (18 and under) can share their parent’s room for free, and they can also play golf free with each paying adult at Deerhurst Lakeside or Deerhurst Highlands.

You have the option of staying at one of the two hotels on the property, or of staying in a condo if you are looking for more space for your family (with options of one, two or three bedrooms).

With four different restaurant dining options and occasional appearances from celebrity chef’s like Lynn Crawford hosting dinner and culinary demo’s, there’s something for every culinary palette.

Hidden Valley Resort is the ideal destination for those who ski or snowboard since it’s located right next to Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area.

The resort is also situated on Lake Peninsula, and boasts an indoor and an outdoor pool, and provides complimentary canoe’s, kayaks and pedal boats.  On-site you can find volleyball, basketball courts and tennis courts, while nearby you can find horseback riding, plus ATV and snowmobile rentals.

The hotel features lakeside and hillside views, and The Birches Restaurant which overlooks Peninsula Lake serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Grand Muskokan is adjacent to the beach and other outdoor activities. The Cascades is situated just steps away from the main lodge with some of the villas sprawling two levels, and the Boathouse Villas which range from studio rooms to four bedroom suites with lakefront views.

The outdoor activities contrast with those looking for more of a serene stay such as a visit to the spa or a nature trail hike.The spa offers facials, massages, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures. The hot stone massage would be ideal after a long day of hiking through their trails.

The dining options range from a more laid-back experience with The Boathouse Lakeside Lounge, or the Touchstone Grill where the executive chef even cooks up a kid-friendly menu.
