7 Hotels Near the West Edmonton Mall for a Weekend Getaway on Another Level

As North America’s largest shopping mall, the West Edmonton Mall is designed to transport you to another world. Well worth a weekend trip, we've chosen our favourite hotels so all you have to do is decide which activity you want to try first.

In our opinion, there are so many attractions at the West Edmonton Mall that you don’t even have to like shopping. There’s the World Waterpark, a five-acre play-land where you can hang out in a private cabana and enjoy the tropical temperature in between rides down the water slides and a soak in the hot tub. Then there’s Galaxy Land, North America’s largest indoor amusement park with over 27 rides and attractions where you can experience things like a 7D theatre, haunted castle and the world’s largest indoor triple-loop roller coaster. There’s also Marine Life, an underground aquarium home to over 100 marine animals (there’re even penguins), a bowling alley, an ice-skating palace, black-light mini-golf, an escape room and a casino.

Of course, after all these exciting activities, you’ll need a place to sleep, so here are some of our nearby favourites.
